6. Masai Mara National Reserve
The world famous Masai Mara National Game Reserve is Africa’s greatest wildlife reserve and has been rated the 4th best destination in the world and lately named the 7th wonder of the world. At the Masai Mara plains you will not only be able to get a glimpse of the “Big Five” – Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Elephant and the Rhino but also the “Big Nine” which includes the Cheetah, Zebra, Giraffe and the Hippo. Also scattered in the plains are the Zebra, Wildebeest, Gazellas and Topi in their numerous numbers. During the months of July- October the “Great Wildebeest Migration” takes place.

7. Meru National Park
Meru a savannah National Park forms part of a complex of protected areas along the Tana River that includes the adjacent Bisanadi and Mwingi National Reserves (to the east and south respectively), Kora National Park and Rahole National Reserve.
