Flying Safaris

Regular departures by air are by far the more popular type of safari on offer. East Africa has a comprehensive and reliable network of internally scheduled flight services operating between all major towns, cities and National Parks and Reserves. These services are offered on a per seat basis and operated in single, twin or quadruple engine aircraft. These range from the larger DH Dash 7 & DH6 Twin Otter, to the smaller single turbine engine C208 Cessna Grand Caravan. For the ultimate of convenience, wide ranges of aircraft are available for private charter. Your own personal aircraft offers accessibility to those airstrips not serviced by scheduled flights, with total flexibility as to timing and routing and the ultimate in relaxed travel. Many of the smaller camps, lodges and boutique hotels that we offer to our tailor-made clients are so 'off the beaten track' that it is only practically possible to fly in. For itineraries such as these, we only use the very best pilots and the very best aircraft.

Departures: Daily – minimum 2 paxs

Day 1. Nairobi/Amboseli
Depart Wilson Airport in the morning and fly to Amboseli National Park. On arrival, to be met at the airstrip and transferred to hotel with game drive en route. After lunch, an afternoon game drive followed by a bubbly sundowner at observation hill. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similiar.

Day 2. Amboseli
Morning Tea/Coffee will be served before proceeding for an early morning game drive. The majestic and breathtaking Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen at this time. Return to lodge for late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. After lunch, an afternoon game drive follows. In the evening a Bush Bar-B-Que. dinner with entertainment by traditional Maasai dancers is the highlight of the day. Overnight atAmboseli Serena Lodge or similiar.

Day 3. Nairobi
After breakfast at lodge transfer to the airstrip to connect schedule flight to Wilson Airport-Nairobi arriving at 0915hrs.

This 5 days flying package takes you first to Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro famous for its big game and great scenic beauty. After a 2 night stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar you will then proceed via Nairobi to the rolling plains, woodlands and rivers that make up the Maasai Mara Game Reserve - one of the world's richest wildlife sanctuaries. Accommodation will be at Mara Serena Lodge or similar, set on the saddle of a hill that overlooks the beauty of Mara.

Day 1. Nairobi/ Amboseli
Depart Nairobi Wilson Airport in the morning and fly to Amboseli Nat. Park. On arrival to be met at the airstrip and transferred to Amboseli Serena Lodge with game drive en route. After lunch, an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Amboseli Serena Lodge or similar

Day 2. Amboseli

After breakfast at lodge transfer to the airstrip to connect schedule flight to Wilson Airport-Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport connect flight to Masaai Mara game reserve. To be met and transferred from airstrip to Mara Serena Lodge or similar with game drive en route. After lunch proceed on an afternoon game drive to return to lodge late evening. Dinner and Overnight the lodge.

Day 4. Maasai Mara
After early morning Tea/Coffee, proceed for an early morning game drive followed by a Hippo Pool Breakfast served by the Mara River teeming with hippos. The rest of the morning is at leisure. After lunch at the lodge an afternoon game drive follows. Dinner and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge. or similar

Day 5. Nairobi
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip, depart by flight to Wilson Airport arriving Nairobi approx 1215hrs

Fly to two of Kenya's finest game parks, Samburu National Reserve and Maasai Mara Game Reserve on this 6 days package. Samburu is a beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Elephant and lion are also plentiful, and leopard are often seen. After a 3 nights luxurious stay at Samburu Serena Lodge or similar, you will fly to Maasai Mara, undoubtedly the richest game reserve in the country where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the “Big Five” lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. In Mara, your 3 nights accommodation will be at the prestigious Mara Sarova Tented Camp or Similar

Day 1. Samburu
Depart from Nairobi Wilson Airport in the morning to Samburu Nat. Reserve. To be met at the airstrip and transferred to Samburu Serena Lodge. After lunch there will be an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 2 & 3. Samburu
Two full days in Samburu. Morning and afternoon game drives. Optional activities include Camel and walking safaris outside the reserve, visits to neighbouring Samburu communities and traditional dances by local warriors and maidens. There is also the kids adventure club where children have a different program while the parents are on a game drive. Meals and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 4. Samburu/ Maasai Mara
After Breakfast transfer to the airstrip for schedule flight to Maasai Mara National Reserve. To be met and transferred to Mara Sarova Tented Camp, another luxury tented camp. There will be a game drive after lunch. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 5 & 6. Maasai Mara
Two full days in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary with the best opportunity of spotting the big five. Two game drives per day, with optional activities including escorted walking safaris outside the reserve and Heritage’s famous Adventurers’ Club for kids. All meals and overnight at Mara Sarova Tented Camp or similar

Day 7. Nairobi
After breakfast transfer to the airstrip, depart by flight to Wilson Airport arriving Nairobi approx 1215hrs.
